Photography is a manner of Zen meditation for me. It is a journey to find 'mu' - a state I can reach while I'm fully present and mindful, yet have become free of myself. I become centered, and my eyes focus. Looking through the aperture, I'm continually discovering the emerging details of color, shape, pattern, and light. I can now photograph the essence - the core of its existence.
I focus on creating two varieties of imagery. While my nature photography is capturing the essence of life, my abstract photography is expressing the essence of who I am.
